We use several types of state-of-the-art lasers to treat this condition.
The Doctor will assess your skin to determine whether you are a good candidate, and if so, advise the most cost-effective treatment options.
- Adult acne is very prevalent among young females in their late teens to early thirties (though it affects males as well), we use the SmoothBeam Laser. It is a safe and effective treatment that can help reduce outbreaks and make acne much more manageable.

- For post-acne "redness" we use the VBeam laser, which is very effective in reducing your chances of scarring. It is especially effective in Asian skin which tends to have redness that persists for months. Dr Chan has extensive experience treating this skin type.

- Finally, we use blu-light therapy with Levulin in selected cases.
Photodynamic Therapy, often referred to as PDT, is a 2-step procedure. A special light sensitive medication, called Levulan, is placed on your skin for about 30 – 60 minutes, then is washed off and you are placed under a special blue light that activates the medicine. This destroys the bacteria that cause acne.
